There's a certain freedom that comes with comedic scripts, often resulting in unique visuals and ideas. From street cast to celebrity, my greatest strength lies in collaborating with talent to define their character and elicit any performance. When was the last time you saw Sophie Monk so passionately involved in backyard cricket?
I'm also a technical thinker. I derive immense satisfaction from overcoming technical challenges that allow performances to truly shine. Whether it involves physical set builds or complex slow-motion sequences, my post-production background ensures that everything always comes together seamlessly.
While I have a knack for delving into the weird and wacky, I'm equally adept at evoking authentic human performances. Whether it’s lo-fi 'found footage' or high-end CinemaScope, memorable and relatable characters are at the core of everything I do.
But it doesn't stop there. Funded by Screen Australia and a successful Kickstarter campaign I'm currently developing 'Macabre', an Austrlian dark comedy multiplayer horror game built in Unreal Engine 5.
'Macabre' quickly gained global notoriety, recently entering Steam's top 200 most-wishlisted games.
This process has been incredibly educational, pushing my technical knowledge to the forefront of what's possible in both cinema and games.
